This is my third pair of Danners, if that tells you anything. I keep coming back to them for their quality and reliability. These boots are actually listed as work boots on the site, but are full leather, lace to toe and have a Gore-Tex liner. The only difference from a hunting boot is that the sole isn't a air bob sole, but it is a Montaga Vibram sole. This is a very thick and hearty sole that provides a lot of traction. My biggest issue with these boots are that it took me forever to get them broken in. Until I finally got them wet inside and out did they start to conform to my feet. I believe these boots will wear for a very long time by looking at their construction. They are triple stitched at the seams. These are the made in the USA version, not all Danners are made in the USA anymore. Danner will state this on the website and you can usually tell by the price and the USA tab that is sewn into the boot seam near the back pull strap. I have one other small issue with this boot, as it is wearing it seems to be getting really discolored on the toe area where it has come in contact with taller grass/brush. It almost seems like the dark color coating is being peeled off the boots to reveal a lighter colored natural leather below. I have a issue place with Danner customer service to see about this. I will amend this review as I find out more. This doesn't effect the performance of the boots only the appearance. I receive a response from Danner and am told that it is a slight defect in the leather tanning process. They were extremely helpful, and gave me a percentage off of the my next pair of boots since I had this issue. Danner did not have to do this as the boots were out of warranty but did it anyway, which shows me how committed they are to customer service.
