Shooters Ridge Rock Mount Pivoting Bipod | 13.5" - 23" Review:
The Shooters Ridge pivoting bipod is a decent bipod. It allows for pivoting on uneven ground and has retractable and adjustable legs. The 13½" - 23" height is adequate for shooting while sitting (we preferred the older version that would go upto 29”). I feel that shooting while seated is the most practical/comfortable/common shooting position for field applications. The item weighs 18 ounces – so it does add just over a pound to the weight of your gun - but the trade off (accuracy for some weight) is well worth it. Be sure to get the pivoting version – it adds more flexibility to your shooting applications and is worth the extra money.
The Shooters Ridge pivoting bipod costs less than the Harris-equivalent. (Shooters Ridge are made in China while Harris is made in the USA). The materials used in the Shooter's Ridge make it less durable and our reviewers found themselves preferring the Harris version (especially when using it to pop-off 200+ rounds on uneven ground). However, if you are just going out once or twice in a year for a shot or two, the Shooters Ridge bipod will certainly work fine and will save you a few dollars.
