Flambeau Outdoors Master Series Boss Buck Review:
So far I am impressed with this decoy. My first time using the decoy I had a 140 class whitetail lock on to the decoy and come in about 50 yards. The buck needed to come another 5 - 10 yards for a perfect broadside shot, but he spooked. Not sure if he winded me, heard my knees shaking, or didn't like the decoy. I am pretty sure he winded me as he was posturing (ears back, hair on end) the whole time until he spooked.
This decoy folds up decently. The legs, ears, head, and antlers all fit inside the body. I used a duck decoy bag to carry it instead of the shoulder strap. That was easier.
It is a little bulky, but better than most other full body deer decoys. It is also a bit noisy to set up so make sure you are far enough away from bedding areas and leave yourself plenty of time ahead of when the deer come in.
I chose this decoy over others due to the realism of the decoy and I liked the size of the antlers. I wanted to bring in a 140 class whitetail or better (which it did) and the 8 point rack -- probably 125 class is about perfect.
A good choice if you want to try a decoy.
