Surefire G2-LED Flashlight Review:

If you are looking for a powerful, yet small flashlight the Surefire is it. This flashlight emits about 60 lumens, which is a ton of light. I have shined this flashlight against a standard Mag lite, which I keep in my truck at all times. The SureFire shows up with extra light right in the middle of the Maglite beam -- amazing brightness. The only downsides are a limited battery life and expense batteries. The Lithium battery last about 1 hour and costs about $13 a battery. I had my SureFire along on a recent Alberta black bear hunt. We were 21 km from camp in an Argo -- the only way to get through the boggy swamps. At 11 km, our lights went out. I used my SureFire to light the way home. It was just about as bright as 2 Argo headlights were. Luckily I had extra batteries along for the rest of the week. We would have had a very slow ride home had I not had my SureFire along.
