If you are planning to do a lot of rifle shooting and you want accuracy, you need a custom trigger. I put the Timney Savage 110 trigger on my Savage 110 .223 rifle and it improved my accuracy. The original triggers typically pull around 2 - 5 lbs. This means it takes 2 - 5 lbs. of force to pull the trigger back to shoot. This may not seem like much, but pulling that much pressure with your trigger finger can cause you to move or flinch.
My Timney is set to about 1.5 lbs. This is perfect for prairie dog shooting. I keep my finger away from the trigger until I am ready to squeeze off the round. A quick touch is all it takes to fire and I can now do that without a bit of flinch.
For accuracy and simplicity, the Timney trigger works well. It is also very easy to install.
I have fired over 2,000 rounds with my Timney without a single issue -- works well!
