Remington Model 700 .270 Rifle Review:

I was looking for a versatile, long range, flat shooting rifle for big game on the plains. I decided on a .270. I debated between the Browning A-bolt vs. the Remington 700. I chose the 700.
I have had my gun for about 1 year now. I haven't connected on anything major yet, but it isn't because of the gun!
I went with the camo stock and stainless barrel.
I didn't like the standard trigger at all. It felt like it was pulling 4 or 5 lbs. I couldn't shoot accurately with that trigger. A quick upgrade to an adjustable trigger fixed that issue.
Since, it has been very consistent in target practice. I had a lot of adjusting to do, but that wasn't because of the gun either! My scope was off a bit.
Now it is pretty dead on. My next adventure with my .270 is black bear hunting in northern Alberta. I have confidence in my gun to take down a big bruin!
