Dynamic Decoys Power Flapper I Goose Decoy Review:
Dynamic Decoy Power Flapper I Goose Decoy is a great concept. However, we experience several issues when testing the item that prevented it from performing. Later in the season, we found ourselves 'giving up' on the product and leaving it behind.
First, when we received the product, one of the gears came off. In order to get it working again, we had to cut into the shell of the decoy to access the inside. This was before we got the decoy into the field. Other issues we experienced included:
We found the decoy to be more noisy than expected
One of the decoy's wings didn't fold back tight to the body
The remote control didn't work much beyond 30 feet (advertised at 100 feet)
The decoy was difficult to transport and safely handle due to the parts
The wings did flap, but weren't very realistic
The feet or stand broke when we applied light pressure
It's unfortunate, as we really like this concept and are certain that this could be a great addition to a decoy spread (thus our higher Sportsman's Edge rating). Perhaps we just got a lemon - but it sure seems to us that this is a concept that needs further enhancement.
